360/StratCom: Tech ambassadors and digital foreign policy
Multiple democratic countries are now elevating technology as a foreign policy priority and have “tech ambassadors” representing their nations on the critical issues of democracy, human rights, and freedom of expression in our lives. We are convening tech ambassadors from some of the first countries to create the role, along with civil society leaders and industry reps, to discuss how the tech ambassador roles are shaped why tech policy is a essential to traditional diplomacy, and what it means for democracy in our digital age.
