Data Visualization and Network Mapping

This session will teach participants fundamental concepts of data visualization and social network analysis, and how to create network graphs using data from social media. When used in combination with other methods, social network analysis can expose relationships, track evolving conversations over time, and help identify emerging coordinated activity. This session will give participants the tools to create compelling data visualizations and network graphs using Flourish, Datawrapper and Gephi. No prior experience with Gephi is required, but it is suggested that participants download Gephi on their computer beforehand: https://gephi.org/users/download/
