Introduction to Facebook Analysis

Analyzing activity on Facebook is an essential skill for investigating mis- and disinformation around the world. This introductory training will cover Facebook-specific techniques and tools for conducting narrative analysis, identifying networks, examining accounts, groups, and public pages, and tracking potential information operations on the platform. Participants will walk away with the skills and knowledge of analyzing various assets on Facebook. Among other methodologies, the trainers will show how to use CrowdTangle and Ad Library, though prior access to those tools is not necessary to join the session.
