Visegrád Group: Disinformation campaigns on COVID-19
Please join the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) and the European Values Center for Security Policy on Wednesday, May 6th at 9:00 EDT (15:00 CEST) for a 360/Virtual event focused on how the COVID-19 crisis has changed the information environment in each of the V4 countries, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
As the news cycle revolves around COVID-19, so do the disinformers. During this event, speakers will discuss disinformation at a particularly interesting intersection of influence operations and geopolitics, past and present, with a focus on lessons that can be applied around the world. They will analyze China’s rising role as the actor behind disinformation in the region and how domestic malign actors use the crisis for their purposes.
