Emily Ferguson
Emily Ferguson was a research associate and Young Global Professional with the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative within the Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab).
During her time with the team, Ferguson was currently completing her master’s degree at the security studies program at Georgetown University, concentrating in technology and security. Before coming to the Atlantic Council, she worked for various defense contracting companies as an intelligence analyst and was an Arabic linguist for the U.S. Army from 2014 – 2019. Her main academic interests include authoritarian government abuse of technologies, trends in cybercrime, and the role of cyber operations in conflicts.
