Jennifer Lin
Jennifer Lin is a former Young Global Professional with the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative under the Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab). During her time with the team, she was a sophomore at Stanford University double-majoring in political science and symbolic systems, with a specialization in artificial intelligence. She is interested in the intersection of technology and policy, especially as it pertains to AI.
Before joining the Council, Lin was a research assistant at the Hoover Institution, where she worked on cross-cutting themes for the Emerging Technology Review. She focused on the prevalence of systems of systems, comparing foundational v. enabling technology, and the progression of innovation timelines. Her research experience also includes how violent actors leverage the online environment to fund their operations, debunking voter fraud claims in the United States, and how commitment problems intertwine with principal-agent problems in civil wars. As a long-time competitive debater, she currently competes for the Stanford Debate Society and was previously on Team USA.
