Influence Operations 101 

This session covers the basics of influence operations — what they are, how they work, and how to identify them. Not every online falsehood is part of a coordinated campaign, but some are pieces of a larger effort to manipulate elections, incite violence, or shape the information environment. Participants will work through key investigative frameworks, tactics, and techniques, and learn how to read and apply attribution evidence, drawing on real case studies to detect and expose information manipulation.
